Resumo: We give a twistorial interpretation of geometric structures on a Riemannian manifold, as sections of homogeneous fibre bundles, following an original insight by Wood (2003). The natural Dirichlet energy induces an abstract harmonicity condition, which gives rise to a geometric gradient flow. We establish a number of analytic properties for this flow, such as uniqueness, smoothness, short-time existence, and some sufficient conditions for long-time existence. This description potentially subsumes a large class of geometric PDE problems from different contexts. As applications, we recover and unify a number of results in the literature: for the isometric flow of G2-structures, by Grigorian (2017, 2019), Bagaglini (2019), and Dwivedi-Gianniotis-Karigiannis (2019); and for harmonic almost complex structures, by He (2019) and He-Li (2019). Our theory also establishes original properties regarding harmonic flows of parallelisms and almost contact structures.

Resumo: I will discuss a criterion for the projectivisation of a reflexive sheaf on a klt space to be induced by a projective representation of the fundamental group of the smooth locus. This criterion is then applied to give a characterisation of finite quotients of projective spaces and Abelian varieties by Q-Chern class (in)equalities and a suitable stability condition. This stability condition is formulated in terms of a naturally defined extension of the tangent sheaf by the structure sheaf. I will further examine cases in which this stability condition is satisfied, comparing it to K-semistability and related notions. This is joint work with Stefan Kebekus and Thomas Peternell.

Resumo: Since it was established, the Ohsawa-Takegoshi extension theorem turned out to be a fundamental tool in complex geometry. We establish a new extension result for twisted canonical forms defined on a hypersurface with simple normal crossings of a projective manifold with a control on its L^2 norme. It is a joint work with Mihai Paun.
